Please join the local node of the Society for Cultural Anthropology‘s virtual conference, Displacements, in Kolkata, India on April 20-21, 2018. The node workshop, Displacements in South Asia, is organised in collaboration with the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta. It will bring together students and scholars from anthropology and related disciplines (history, literary studies, cultural studies, political science, geography) to discuss contemporary and historical modalities of displacement in South Asia.
The workshop will include paper presentations, a panel of community members, a viewing session of the SCA virtual conference, and talks from faculty members:

The Displacements in South Asia workshop will be held at the Jadunath Sarkar Bhavan Museum and Resource Centre, (CSSSC) located at 10 Lake Terrace in Ballygunge, Kolkata 700029.
The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome. Please register in advance to attend.
